Setting up Outlook / Outlook Express for POP3

These instructions may vary slightly depending on your version of Outlook / Outlook Express. If you have one of our domain name pop mail packages, you will need to configure your copy of Outlook or Outlook Express, so that you can download your emails from the mail server onto your computer.

Creating a new account

To create a new account open Outlook / Outlook Express and then click on the Tools menu at the top, and select the Accounts.

On the next screen click the Add button. A new menu slides out to the right - select Mail.

Internet Connection Wizard will now appear. This will take you through setting up your new account one stage at a time. On the first screen, type in the name that you want people to see when you send them an email, then click the Next

Then type in the email address that you want people to use and to reply to when they get an email from you and click the Next

In the box marked Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server type in pop. and then your domain name.

In the box marked Outgoing (SMTP) server enter the SMTP server of your ISP. For example if you are dialling up with BT you might enter smtp.btinternet.com or mail.btopenworld.com. If you are unsure of what your SMTP server is then ask your ISP or visit their website and check their FAQs or technical support section.

Now enter your account name and password. Your account name will be catchall@yourdomainname.com and the password will have been provided when you set up your account. If you have lost this information please email info@toasting.co.uk and we will re-send.

Select the method that you use to connect to the internet, and then click the Next

You have now successfully entered all the details. Click Finish to complete the account set up.
